CHANGES in 2013

New SAFE Features

Clients have new ways to share files in their online SAFE

  • Using new SAFE features, clients can elect a Digital Executor. This person will be able to access all of your client’s SAFE files when your client passes away or becomes permanently incapacitated.
  • Clients can upload a digital assets list you provide, or use a template in their SAFE so that online accounts and passwords are available to their Digital Executor at the appropriate time.

Client’s can also create temporary links to specific files or allow loved ones to log in and access select files.

Client Courtesy Calls

Our new client courtesy calls are now done by friendly DocuBank staff members. This gives clients the opportunity to ask questions about how the service works and all the features available to them.

THE EMERGENCY CARD

When you store your healthcare documents with DocuBank, you receive a customized DocuBank Emergency Card that makes all of your emergency information and critical healthcare documents available in two convenient ways:

A Call: By placing a toll free call to 1-800-DOCUBANK hospitals can have your emergency information and advance directives immediately faxed to them

A Click: Simply by clicking the Hospital Button, or using the pop up box on the DocuBank home page, hospital staff can view and print documents immediately

MEDICAL ALERTS

The DocuBank card lists important medical conditions and allergy information so that it is immediately available at the hospital. The name and contact information of one emergency contact also appears on the face of the card. A complete list of your current medications can also be stored.

DocuBank SAFE: Life. Securely Stored

The Online SAFE is a complimentary part of every DocuBank membership. Once your DocuBank membership is active you can log in to establish your encrypted SAFE password. You can begin uploading documents immediately from your personal computer. SAFE memberships 1GB of storage FREE.

LIMITING ACCESS

As a Premium DocuBank member SAFE includes Valet Access memberships that you can establish for friends and family so they can view only some of your important files. Your SAFE Valets will receive an introduction email providing the information they need to log in to their personal limited access DocuBank account.

ESTABLISHING YOUR EXIT STRATEGY

Answering the question – what happens to my information when I die? Premium DocuBank memberships include an Online Executor function. This membership provides valet access to the account while you are alive, and establishes the name and contact information of the one person you elect to be able to access and assume the account upon your verified death.

ORGANIZATION IS KEY

SAFE storage is set up into categories so you can keep your files organized. You may also find that your providing professional has already uploaded files to your SAFE on your behalf. If so, you will also be able to allow your provider to view files you upload by clicking the “share with provider” button when you upload a file. Only those files you select will be viewable by your provider.

FAMILY NOTIFICATION SERVICE

DocuBank now offers a Family Notification Service. Members can send a personalized email to friends and family members letting them know that they have joined the DocuBank service and that their health care wishes are available 24/7/365 in an emergency.

COMMUNICATING HEALTHCARE WISHES

DocuBank can help members communicate their wishes verbally too. We know that conversations about death and dying are difficult. That’s why we offer some suggestions and guidelines on how to broach this subject with loved ones. Available in our Member Services section, we provide important conversation topics along with helpful links.

WALLET STICKERS

The DocuBank Emergency card arrives within 4-6 weeks of enrollment and comes with alert stickers to be placed on the members’ driver’s license. These alert stickers tell hospital and emergency staff that they can obtain your healthcare directives using your DocuBank wallet card.

ADDITIONAL CARDS

Members can print additional cards for friends and family members at any time. Additional paper copies of the card also arrive along with the plastic emergency card.
