November 1st Medicare to Decide on Covering End-Of-Life Counseling

On November 1, 2015,  Medicare will make the final decision on a proposal  that would allow qualified professionals to be reimbursed for counseling their patients on how they choose to die. Whether every means possible should be taken to keep them alive by using feeding tubes and ventilators or discontinuing life support and allowing them to pass on.

As the elderly population grows and more people are living longer with illnesses, patients want to be able to talk over their options with their doctors, caregivers and family.
